How to measure your horse for the Farrier's Mate
To ensure the correct fit, please take two simple measurements before ordering:Measurement A – Height
• Measure the distance from between 0.5 to1cm above the ground, up to the bottom of the fetlock joint.
• The ground clearance reduces damage to the Farrier’s Mate and provides the fit needed so the Farrier’s Mate can sit securely below the fetlock while covering the hoof and shoe.
Measurement B – Circumference
• Wrap a soft measuring tape around the widest part of the hoof, approximately 1cm above the ground.
• This ensures the Farrier’s Mate will fasten snugly around the hoof without being too tight or too loose.
💡 Tip: Measure both front hooves, as they may vary slightly in size. Use the larger measurement to choose your size.
